Aimee

Like most artists, my love for art started at a very young age. As early as I could remember, I was always drawing. I grew up reading comic books/graphic novels, from Japanese manga to DC comics, and thats where most of my inspiration comes from. I was also raised on Miyazaki films and my passion for sequential art stemmed from there. After graduating from art school, I originally planned to start a career in comic books but found myself immersed in the tattoo world.

In 2011, I started an apprenticeship and the rest was history. For me, tattooing is not only an art form but a way of life. To tattoo is to respect the culture. The industry is ever changing, and I strive to balance between adapting to progressive ideas while honoring old school values.

Even with over a decade of experience, the journey to artistic contentment has no end. An artist once told me; “When you stopped learning, it’s time to quit.” Though my background is illustration which reflects on my tattoos, I am well versed in various styles.

Outside of tattooing, I still draw and create comic books. I also enjoy traveling, meditative walks, crocheting and overpaying for iced coffee (and not finishing it).
